We represent the largest number of sports players in New Zealand and are not only in the business of sports, but also the business of entertainment. Our team is made up of 18 staff, 19 active Provincial Associations and over 100 affiliated modules that run over 200 registered competitions. We are an Incorporated Society, registered with the Charities Commission, and are a non-profit organisation governed by a board of Directors.
The delivery of the sport is supported by significant numbers of qualified referees, coaches, managers, and support personnel across the over 200 competitions registered with our organisation. This internship opportunity provides a unique experience to gain new skills within the sporting industry and within your field of interest. Tasks will vary depending on your discipline; however, you will be a part of our team and gain valuable new skills within a New Zealand organisation.
Location: Auckland surrounding area
Preferred duration: 8+ weeks
Eligibility requirements: Minimum 1-year relevant university education
Tasks:
- Social media and marketing
- Assist with developing marketing plan and marketing materials to assist
- Assist with database management through our online registration system
- Assist with annual stocktake / Community Projects/ Coaching equipment
- Assist with the running of the weekly North Shore Secondary Schools Touch module
- Ensure participation statistics are obtained and recorded from all events and coaching
- Capture photo/video footage of Touch module to make video for weekly recap
- Update website & maintain Facebook page
- Other related roles and projects as they arise

- Available between the hours of 8:30am – 5:00pm weekdays
