We have been running childcare services in New Zealand since the 1970’s and pride ourselves in providing safe, educational and trustworthy childcare.  We have intern opportunities available in locations all around Auckland. You must be reliable, happy, honest and enjoy working with children and have an understanding of children’s best interests.

Location: Varies locations available around the Auckland region

Preferred duration: 8+ weeks

Eligibility requirements: Must pass police record screening

Tasks:

• Caring for the social, emotional, physical and intellectual needs of the children in our care
• Monitoring the environment – making the centre a happy, healthy, safe, attractive and inviting learning atmosphere
• Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate education programs according to the New Zealand curriculum and the individual needs of the children
• Using positive child management to build responsibility and self-esteem, helping children and protect them from harm
• Teaching children to have respect for others and the environment
• Monitoring confidentiality, but seeking help where needed from KinderCare management
• Other related roles and projects as they arise
