The majority of our internship placements in Canada are in Vancouver, either on location or remotely. Placements may be available outside of Vancouver on request.

In Vancouver we have placed interns in nearly every industry including accounting, law, education, engineering, business administration, fashion, international trade, IT, finance, media, veterinarian work, marketing, sports management, events, and tourism. We have also made some extremely unique placements, including a cancer research assistant and a radio show host.

Vancouver has a presence in most industries. However, the city particularly excels in industries such as information technology, game development, film production, biotechnology, aerospace, new media, international trade, tourism, forest products, and education. The city’s strong focus on lifestyle and health culture also makes it a hub and founding location for many lifestyle brands such as Lululemon and Mountain Equipment co-op, among many others.

Accommodation in Vancouver

We offer support to find your own accommodation or you can choose to live with one of our Homestay Families. In homestay accommodation, you’ll live with one of our registered host families in their home for a minimum of 4 weeks. You’ll have access to your own private bedroom, 3 melas per day, a shared bathroom and kitchen, and utilities including WIFI. You are expected to help out with maintaining your bedroom and washroom. Homestay accommodation is a great way to get to know some locals and experience the culture and lifestyle of Canadian families.

If you are staying in Vancouver for less than 1 months you may like to book a hostel in the city and if you are staying longer, we recommend AirBnB or Craigslist. When you book your program, you’ll be asked which kind of accommodation you would prefer. You can leave this blank if you’re already in Vancouver or plan to find your own accommodation.
