Our semi-annual regional fashion event has been dedicated to cultivating the success of both established designers and award-winning emerging designers with its global perspective and highly multicultural approach. Championing diversity as its greatest strength, we have grown to be the second largest semi-annual fashion event in North America – and continue to grow today as one of the fastest growing fashion events in the world.

Your placement can be focused to meet your professional, academic and personal expectations; however, you must be able to work independently as a responsible member of our small team. You also need to be adaptable as your tasks will vary. You may have the opportunity to experience some days out of the office assisting with the event should your placement happen during this time. To succeed with us you must have the ability to take initiative and work independently; ideally have strong people skills, be organized and patient.

Location: Vancouver Downtown, British Columbia, Canada

Preferred duration: 4+ weeks

Eligibility requirements: Previous work experience desired.

Tasks:

• Gaining an understanding processes around special event planning within the fashion sector
• Assisting with public engagement/outreach, communications and social media campaigns
• Assisting with creating digital content to improve the organization’s web presence
• Administration including designer and community services.
• Assist in event planning to realize marketing and public/community engagement strategies
• Office set-up and general administrative and operational duties
• Other related activities as they arise

Other key information:

• Part time or full-time position (29+ hours per week)
• Available between the hours of 8:30am – 5:00pm
• Must be flexible and able to work independently
• Must be organized, professional and have a passion for fashion
• High level of English; able to write professional correspondence
