Mechanical Engineering Internship Example

Our host company is a mechanical engineering company who specialises in the design and manufacturing of industrial food, beverage & pharmaceutical equipment. Our company started 18 years ago, and have built long term relationships with all of my customers such as Cadburys and Pernod Ricard Winemakers Ltd. The company is capable of a wide variety of disciplines including complete turn-key projects, which involve designing equipment and processes. The equipment is manufactured in their carbon free workshop prior to the installation, and manage sub-trades, and commissioning. They are constantly involved in a variety of smaller projects, as well as developing new products, and product literature. As the intern you would be involved in working with both trades staff in both the workshop and onsite, learning about fabrication techniques, site and shop safety, as well as in the office working with engineering staff on aspects of design and project management. I may also have the opportunity to assist the engineer undertaking some drafting (on AutoCAD or similar) as well as some technical writing for product specification sheets. Media Internship Example

Our host is one of New Zealand’s leading radio networks. It is a contemporary radio station which is targeted primarily at women 25-44 and plays a range of popular music. There are 22 stations across the country which all have their own local breakfast and daytime shows and then generally take network programming from the Auckland station. The staff are motivated people who are passionate about delivering great radio and promotional events for their listeners. Your internship you will primarily be working with the Auckland Manager and as this is a very dynamic environment, we expect the activities you will be doing to change and evolve throughout your placement.
