We are looking for an intern with a get up and go drive, someone that can listen but can also take initiative. Your beliefs must also align with ours – we believe in a healthy and sustainable environment and for everyone to be involved in managing and protecting that environment.

We manage volunteer involvement in all kinds of conservation projects, located in sites around New Zealand and Australia. We work in partnership with the communities around us, the government, non-government organisations and also many of New Zealand’s most successful businesses to provide opportunity for them to be involved in a range of conservation projects.

Location: Auckland CBD, New Zealand

Preferred duration: 8+ weeks

Eligibility requirements: Have a keen interest in environmental and sustainability activities

Tasks:

• Administration tasks; supporting our small team by entering data, filing, simple reconciliations, keeping first aid kits stocked etc
• Manage image library – download photos from each project, file in relevant folders, send copies to volunteers
• Social media – create posts, write succinct stories about upcoming and recently completed projects
• Field work – opportunity to join the team in the field
• Assist team on corporate and school projects – from time to time we need all hands-on deck when we have large events
• Update process manual
• Other related roles and projects as they arise
